BIBLE FOCUS GROUP and PRAYER GROUP

The group next meets on Thursday 13 December, starting at
7.30 pm, for its final meeting of the year. It will be on a Christmas theme and visitors are welcome.
Over the previous weeks we have been looking at ‘Faithful Journeys’ following on from the theme of our Joint worship in June. In October we thought about the journey Moses was on, and then – hardly a model, but very interesting – we looked at the story of Samson, and found it was very relevant to many of the values of today’s world. We have also explored the story of Ruth and Naomi, and our last meeting looked at Abigail (who? – well you should have been there). Abigail is often seen as a model of integrity and courage, and we learnt a lot from exploring her story. (She was a wife of David whose courage saved the lives of many people).
